Rabbi Leah Shakdiel

Rabbi Leah Shakdiel was born in Jerusalem in 1951 and has been living with her family in Yerucham since 1980. She is an educator and social activist involved in peace efforts, justice for all, human rights and civil rights. Leah was the first woman woman in Israel to serve on a community religious council following her Supreme Court victory in 1988. She received rabbinic ordination from Beit Midrash Har’el in 2019 and serves as CWJ’s rabbi.
